What’s the difference between Moondrop CHU and CHU II?

➤ The CHU II features a removable 2-pin cable, improved dynamic driver (10mm with composite diaphragm), and better tuning, offering enhanced clarity and bass compared to the original CHU.  

 

Does CHU II support microphone function?

➤ Yes, there are two versions — one with mic and one without mic. Make sure you select the correct option when purchasing.  

 

Is the cable on CHU II detachable?

➤ Yes, it uses a 0.78mm 2-pin detachable cable, which makes it easier to upgrade or replace.  

 

Are the CHU II suitable for gaming?

➤ Yes, thanks to their clear mids and soundstage, they perform well for casual gaming, especially for positional audio in FPS games.  

 

Do I need an amp or DAC for the CHU II?

➤ Not necessarily. They are efficient (18Ω impedance) and can be driven well by most smartphones or laptops, but a DAC can improve audio quality.  

 

Are they good for bass lovers?

➤ The CHU II has tight and punchy bass, but it’s tuned more for balance and clarity than heavy bass. Bassheads might want something warmer.
