he black Wave XLR from Elgato is a compact USB Type-C audio interface with a single XLR input and mic preamp designed for recording, podcasting, and streaming to Mac and Windows computers at a 24-bit resolution with a choice of 48 or 96 kHz sampling rates. The elegant space-saving design uses a single multifunction knob to control the microphone gain, phantom-power switch, headphone volume, and the monitor blend between the mic input and playback from your computer.

The ultralow-noise preamp provides up to 75 dB of clean gain for your mic signal, and a capacitive mute switch is conveniently placed on the top/rear of the inferface. A long press on the control knob activates 48V phantom power for condenser microphones. The 3.5mm headphone jack for monitoring is located on the rear of the unit, beside the USB port and XLR input. Multiple faceplate options are available separately in a variety of color choices to add a little visual flair to the interface.

Switchable Low-Cut Filters

Dual selectable filters at 80 and 120 Hz let you remove low frequencies, especially helpful if your recording up close to the mic.
